Recently Asked Questions:

Q: Can a 'handyman' perform electrical work in my home?
A: NO. This person should not perform this kind of work. All electrical work should be done by a qualified, licensed electrician to ensure your safety and compliance with applicable building codes.

Q: I have a home with fuses.  Should I change to circuit breakers?
A: Unless the fuses are improperly sized (i.e., they don't match the size of the wiring in your home), fuses are safe to use.  But more and more homeowners prefer circuit breakers.

Q: As a homeowner, can I perform my own electrical work?
A: Yes you can, but your work has to be looked at by your local wiring inspector to ensure safety and compliance with building codes.
